8/22/24- I had a beef empanada. Cost was $3.50, size was equal to a woman’s hand (not the cocktail size), pastry outside was amazing! The empanada was warm not too greasy, definitely fresh and the cart was so clean! It also was nice to be greeted with a smile! Please let me know if you have a restaurant. I would love to have a sit down meal created by you!

Tried the cheese empanadas while walking through Gantry Plaza and they were so good! The empanada is nice and crispy on the outside and soft in the instead. The cheese is really good too. This is a great quick bite. You can’t beat this for the price.

A beef empanada from this cart on Austin Street was the first thing I ever ate when I moved to NYC. Y'all, it was GREAT. The local who insisted I had to grab one as we walked by absolutely knew what he was talking about. Abuela's Empanadas was my introduction to the fat-kid status that would come to describe the entire time I lived in New York City as a Midwestern transplant, lol. I still remember my eyes popping out of my head as I realized how good this was and that if this was what I was getting from a random food cart, I'd want to try every restaurant in the city.

Amazing food for the price -- perfect crust, perfect flavoring. Very glad to have them in the neighborhood. Had the cheese and the chicken -- they were out of the veggie.

This lady has been on Austin Street for years, wit her food truck. I would say she has the best empanadas that I have tasted outside of my wife's. Abuela's empanadas are definitely the best in queens, from what I have tasted from other empanadas restaurant or trucks. The chicken empanadas and the beef are good to me. I have to admit they are a little pricey, but they are worth it. The lady gives you nice portions of meat as well. She makes them right in front of you hot.

Service with a smile! A quality street food cart stop you'll enjoy visiting. The empanada and passion fruit juice is a perfect brunch combo, not greasy and she's generous with the filling too! Thank you very much for the morning sunshine!
